Spaces & Places

I appreciate the older buildings around us just as much as I appreciate the newer ones. They all have a story to tell. Architecture is not just about a building, it represents a society, a culture, technology and a point in time. This building is one I pass by in Newark, New Jersey. It is a building on a campus with a church. It is very old and different from some of it's neighboring buildings, like the apartments adjacent to it by Mies van der Rohe, done probably around the 1960's, but it represents a much younger Newark. And it is equally beautiful to look at and fun to imagine Newark in that time when it was built.
